TAKE THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS FEELING BETTER
Do you struggle with your emotions, self-esteem, or relationships? Do you get overwhelmed easily, or feel like you have to hold it all inside? Do you deal with a lot of shame or guilt? Are your relationships suffering as a result? Maybe you’re overusing substances or other coping strategies to deal with all of this, and it’s not working as well anymore.
I get it and I can help you. I’m a gay man who’s been through therapy and recovery himself, and I understand the challenges that we face. I’m a registered social worker, psychotherapist. I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ clients through symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and addictions.
With me as your therapist, you will feel heard and understood. You will be guided through difficult feelings and distressing thoughts to resolve your concerns and move forward with confidence. You will build a better relationship with yourself and with the other people in your life. You will become empowered, confident, and resilient.
It helps to receive therapy from someone who personally understands the experience of being LGBTQ+ and struggling with mental health. You can ask me questions using the form below, or you can book your free consultation now. I look forward to hearing from you.

MY APPROACHES TO THERAPY
My therapy services are trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and strengths-based.
trauma-informed therapy
Practicing trauma-informed therapy means that I am aware that many people who seek therapy have experienced some sort of trauma in their lives, from big, life-altering events, to more persistent patterns of neglect or mistreatment.
All types of trauma disrupt our lives and the way that we relate to ourselves and to others. I am mindful of this when working with you, and look for ways to ease the suffering that trauma may create in your life — at a pace that feels safe for you.
LGBTQ+ AFFIRMING THERAPY
Being LGBTQ+ gives us unique experiences, challenges, and perspectives that shape how we see ourselves and the world. As a gay man who has gone through therapy and recovery himself, I know how having my LGBTQ+ identity affirmed has helped me. I can do the same for you. When working with me, you will have your identity and experiences affirmed and integrated into your therapy.
Strengths-based therapy
Working from a strengths-based approach means that I acknowledge the whole person in therapy, not just your “symptoms.” I acknowledge that, while you may come in with things that you want to change about your life, you also come with strengths, assets, and things that you are already doing to feel better. I make sure to acknowledge and emphasize these strengths to help you make the most of them and overcome your challenges.
